Stronger Together

Advocating for ourselves and others

LNNM Conference 2024

On Friday 21st June, around 170 inclusion health nurses, midwives, other homelenessness and health professionals and people with lived experience gathered together at a venue in North London for  LNNM’s 8th Annual conference.

This year’s theme ‘Stronger together: advocating for ourselves and others’ considered the effects on our wellbeing  when we work in situations where the system is failing,  and what we can do to support each other.

With a fantastic variety of speakers and workshop facilitators, we profiled the work of system advocates in our sector and discussed how we can all work together to make positive changes for both others and ourselves. Participants also watched and reflected on Tina, a film that profiles the impact of our work on practitioners.

Overall, it was a stimulating and enjoyable day with delegates going away feeling more energised and inspired.  The day ended with our ever popular LNNM awards and Poster Competition designed to uplift people and celebrate our work. See all posters and winning entry here.

'The whole of government is needed to tackle health inequalities, not just the NHS.'

@davidjbuck reflects on our #KFHealthInequalities conference and stresses that the government must do more if it is truly committed to addressing its milestones.

Today, I went to the trans solidarity demo. Very peaceful and life affirming. A great event to celebrate difference across many spectrums... well done all @streetskitchen
