Organisational Neglect – where is the line?

LNNM 2023 Conference

Organisational Neglect (sometimes referred to as institutional abuse) is neglect and poor care practice within an institution or specific care setting such as a hospital or hostels. This can range from a one-off incident to on-going ill-treatment.

Although we know that individual staff in inclusion health services battle every day to get the best service for their clients, we also know that the barriers to providing best care are immense, and that care and support failures are commonplace.

The conference included fantastic keynote speakers, workshops and a focus group sessions, where we asked participants to reflect and consider ‘Where is the line?’

Conference Speakers

We were excited this year to offer delegates a fantastic line up of engaging speakers, workshop/focus group leads and panel members from a range of professions across the homelessness and health sector.  Each shared their own perspectives and experiences with delegates, sparking discussion and debate throughout the day.

Ab Fab Awards

The LNNM ‘Ab Fab’ Awards are always a popular annual event, where we invite colleagues to nominate people from across the homelessness and health sector who they would like recognised and awarded for the fabulous work they do.

The winners from both the Individual and Team categories were announced at the conference.
